Ester Dean – Yeah Right (full) – listen
Since the release of the “Drop It Low” video, featuring Chris Brown, since getting their first look at Ester Dean, people have been eager to hear more material from her. We’ve heard her perspective as a writer, but folks wanted to hear more of Ester Dean as an artist. “Yeah Right” is supposedly a track that leaked from Ester’s album, which we have heard very little information about it. It’s produced by a team known as the Knightwritaz. Although not as catchy as “Drop It Low,” I see the potential in Dean’s material.
Ne-Yo – Love You (full) – listen
Seems as though more music from Ne-Yo has leaked, and this time, it’s “Love You,” produced by Chuck Harmony. Not sure if this is really material that Ne-Yo is cooking up for himself, because it could very likely be a demo for someone else. Some people may argue that Ne-Yo’s songs all sound alike, but this track really just obviously exposes Ne-Yo’s versatility. How you can go from this, to writing tracks like the new Rihanna single, “Russian Roulette” is truly incredible.
Mr. Hudson – Straight No Chaser (full) – listen
Take a listen to the title track from Mr. Hudson off the album, Straight No Chaser. The sophomore album is due out in the United States on December 1st and dropped in the U.K. on October 19th via G.O.O.D. Music Label/Mercury Records. All of the music is co-produced by Mr. Hudson and Kanye West.
Tank – Cellphone (full) – listen
As some of you may know, Tank is one of my favorite male vocalists and vocal producers in the game, but this song has had me laughing since hearing it. “Cellphone,” produced by Lonnie Bereal, basically is about being in a relationship and trying to get through by calling on a cellphone. Tank complains about T-Mobile dropping phone calls, and the overly expensive plans with Verizon. Just take a listen for yourself. Quite hilarious. Tank is currently in the studio, working on his fourth studio album, Sex, Love & Pain II: The All Night Experience.
